About Ausbruchsstelle Meradalir

Im August 2022 begann im Vulkansystem Fagradalsfjall, etwa einen Kilometer nördlich des Ausbruchsortes von 2021, ein zweiter Ausbruch. Lava floss in den Meradalir und erweiterte die bereits bemerkenswerte junge Vulkanlandschaft, die im Vorjahr entstanden war.
