Little-visited waterfall in the Skjálfandafljót and Bárðardalur landscape.

Southern Bárðardalur

Powerful waterfall where the Skjálfandafljót plunges through a striking amphitheatre of dark basalt columns near the edge of the Highlands.

Goðafoss & Skjálfandafljót

Smaller waterfall on the Skjálfandafljót river immediately downstream from the much more famous Goðafoss.
