Loftellir es un tubo de lava que contiene singulares esculturas y formaciones de hielo que se conservan en su interior. Para llegar a él y entrar, es necesario atravesar un terreno volcánico accidentado, caminar sobre lava y sortear un entorno cavernoso y estrecho.
