Orbis et Globus se presentó en 2017 como un marcador físico del Círculo Polar Ártico. Debido a que el Círculo Polar Ártico se desplaza gradualmente hacia el norte con los cambios en la inclinación del eje terrestre, la esfera se mueve periódicamente para seguir su posición cambiante.
