About Diga di Kárahnjúkar

La diga di Kárahnjúkar è una delle più grandi opere di ingegneria in Islanda e costituisce il principale bacino idrico della centrale idroelettrica di Kárahnjúkar. La diga si erge per circa 193 metri sopra le sue fondamenta e modifica drasticamente il paesaggio dove un tempo il fiume Jökulsá á Dal scorreva liberamente attraverso il canyon.
