FEATURED LAGOONS

• Blue Lagoon – Iceland’s world-famous geothermal spa near Grindavík
• Sky Lagoon – an oceanfront experience near Reykjavík for visitors aged 12 and over
• Secret Lagoon – a traditional geothermal pool in Flúðir
• Laugarás Lagoon – a two-storey lagoon beside the Hvítá River
• Mývatn Nature Baths – a peaceful geothermal experience in North Iceland
• Forest Lagoon – surrounded by woodland near Akureyri
• Krauma – modern geothermal baths powered by Deildartunguhver
• Hvammsvík Hot Springs – our personal favourite in beautiful Hvalfjörður

OUR ICELAND LAGOON TIPS

• Book popular lagoons in advance
• Visit early in the morning or later in the evening for a quieter experience
• Shower thoroughly without your swimming costume before entering
• Bring a reusable water bottle and stay hydrated
• Remove jewellery before entering mineral-rich geothermal water
• Allow enough time to enjoy the lagoon without rushing

Secret Lagoon has separate changing rooms for men and women, but the showers are communal and don’t have private cubicles. This is completely normal in Iceland, and showering before entering is mandatory.
