About Dalatangi
Dalatangi feels remarkably isolated even by East Iceland standards. Two lighthouses stand here: an older basalt lighthouse built in 1895 through the initiative of Norwegian entrepreneur Otto Wathne and a newer lighthouse dating from 1908 that remains in use. The headland provides views north towards Glettingur, Loðmundarfjörður and Seyðisfjörður.

Getting there and visiting
Access
Reached along the narrow Road 953 from Mjóifjörður. The road runs beneath steep slopes and past waterfalls and gorges.
