WHY VISIT

About Hvannalindir

Hvannalindir lies at around 640 metres above sea level in a sheltered part of Krepputunga. The lush springs and vegetation contrast dramatically with the surrounding lava wilderness. Ruins discovered here in 1880 are traditionally associated with the famous outlaws Fjalla-Eyvindur and Halla.
