Laugarvellir
Remarkable natural geothermal waterfall where warm water cascades into a bathing pool in a remote Highland valley.
About Laugarvellir
Laugarvellir is one of Iceland’s most unusual natural bathing places. Geothermally heated water flows down a small waterfall into a warm pool, effectively creating a natural outdoor shower. Its remote setting in Laugarvalladalur makes the experience very different from developed geothermal lagoons.
Our practical tips
✓Bring swimwear, a towel and dry clothing because there are no developed changing facilities.
