About Eyjabakkar
Eyjabakkar is an extensive wetland area on the eastern side of Snæfell and an internationally important habitat for birds, particularly moulting pink-footed geese. The area also lies within the range of East Iceland’s wild reindeer and represents one of the region’s most important wilderness ecosystems.
