About Seyðisfjörður Avalanche Barriers
The avalanche barriers on the slopes above Seyðisfjörður protect the settlement from snow avalanches descending from Bjólfur. A hiking route climbs above 600 metres towards the structures and provides panoramic views over the town and fjord.
