About Þerribjörg
Þerribjörg is one of the wildest and most colourful landscapes in this corner of East Iceland. The cliffs preserve rock from the ancient Fagradalur volcanic system and display yellow, pink and black formations above the green-blue Atlantic. Reaching them requires a steep hike via Múlahöfn and the shoreline.

Getting there and visiting
Access
Road access is via Hellisheiði eystri followed by a rough track to the hiking trailhead. The attraction itself is reached on foot.

The official route involves a steep descent towards Múlahöfn followed by coastal walking towards Þerribjörg and Langisandur.
