About Skjólfjörur
Skjólfjörur is one of the standout coastal stops around Vopnafjörður. A short walk leads from the road towards the open Atlantic, where colourful stones and driftwood line the shoreline. Ljósastapi rises offshore and whales are occasionally seen from the coast.
