WHY VISIT

About Sun Voyager

Sun Voyager was designed by Icelandic artist Jón Gunnar Árnason. Although commonly described as a Viking ship, the artist conceived it as a dream boat and ode to the sun, representing hope, freedom and undiscovered territory. Its waterfront location provides one of Reykjavík’s classic views towards Faxaflói and Mount Esja.
