WHY VISIT

About Múlahöfn

Múlahöfn is an extraordinary natural harbour beneath the cliffs east of Hellisheiði eystri. It was designated as an authorised trading harbour in 1890, although transporting goods inland proved so difficult that its commercial use was extremely limited. Today it forms part of the demanding hike towards Þerribjörg.
