How Many Days Do You Need?

If you’re only visiting for 3–4 days, you’ll have enough time to explore Reykjavík, the Golden Circle and parts of the South Coast.

For 7–10 days, you can comfortably drive the famous Ring Road and experience much more of Iceland’s incredible scenery.

If you have two weeks or more, you’ll have time to visit quieter regions like the Westfjords and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula without feeling rushed.

Hiring a Car in Iceland

For most visitors, hiring a car is by far the best way to explore Iceland. Public transport is very limited outside Reykjavík, and many of Iceland’s most beautiful locations are only accessible by road.
