About Snæfell
Snæfell rises to approximately 1,833 metres north-east of Vatnajökull and is the highest freestanding mountain in Iceland outside the major glacier-covered volcanoes. The mountain dominates the eastern Highland landscape and is surrounded by important reindeer habitat. A marked summit route is possible in suitable summer conditions.

Getting there and visiting
Access
