About Fossárdalur
Fossárdalur follows Fossá inland from Berufjörður. The river originates around Líkárvatn and travels roughly 20 kilometres towards the sea, descending through more than 30 waterfalls before reaching Sveinsstekksfoss near Route 1.

Getting there and visiting
Access
Lower parts of Fossárdalur can be explored from the Berufjörður area, but tracks and hiking access become progressively more remote inland.
