Grandi District
Former fishing and industrial district transformed into one of Reykjavík’s liveliest areas for museums, food, art and waterfront wandering.
About Grandi District
Grandi developed around Reykjavík’s fishing and fish-processing industries immediately west of the Old Harbour. Former factories and warehouses now stand beside restaurants, bakeries, museums, studios and major visitor attractions. Despite the transformation, Grandi remains closely connected with the working harbour and offers a mixture of industrial Reykjavík and modern creative culture.
