About Þúfa
Þúfa was created by Icelandic artist Ólöf Nordal and commissioned in 2013. The artificial grass-covered mound rises about eight metres above reclaimed harbour land, with a spiral path winding to the summit. A traditional wooden fish-drying rack stands at the top, connecting Reykjavík’s fishing heritage with contemporary art. The summit offers a 360-degree view across the harbour, city and Mount Esja.

✓The small structure at the top is a traditional fish-drying shed, not simply decorative.
