About Reykjavík Art Museum – Ásmundarsafn
Ásmundarsafn preserves the work of sculptor Ásmundur Sveinsson inside the extraordinary building he designed as his own home and studio. His sculptures were strongly influenced by Icelandic sagas, folk tales, mythology and the human figure, while numerous large-scale works are displayed outside in the surrounding garden.
