About Stöðvarfjörður
Stöðvarfjörður is a small fishing village on the Eastfjords and one of the settlements through which the Ring Road passes directly. The surrounding mountains are exceptionally rich in colourful minerals, while the village has developed a strong creative community. Major attractions include Petra’s Stone Collection, the Saxa sea geyser and hiking through Jafnadalur.
