WHY VISIT

About Tankurinn

Tankurinn is a former fish-oil tank near Gleðivík that became redundant after Djúpivogur’s processing plant closed in 2006. The industrial structure has since been transformed into an unusual cultural space hosting installations and performances. Even when no exhibition is installed, its powerful echo and reverberation make stepping inside memorable.
