About Langabúð
Langabúð stands on a trading site whose history reaches back to 1589. The present building dates from 1790 and is the oldest surviving building in Djúpivogur. Today it serves as the town’s cultural centre, with exhibitions about sculptor Ríkarður Jónsson, politician Eysteinn Jónsson and local history alongside a café serving homemade food and cakes.
