About The Worm in Vallanes
The Worm in Vallanes is a short family-friendly trail through woodland planted from 1989 onwards. The route twists through the trees in the shape of the legendary Lagarfljótsormur and includes short side trails, or escape routes. A picnic area known as the Eye of the Snake sits near the centre of the forest.

✓A particularly good Lagarfljót stop for families with younger children.
