About Dvergasteinn
Dvergasteinn, or Dwarfs Rock, stands on the northern shore around three kilometres from Seyðisfjörður. According to folklore, dwarfs used the stone as a place of worship. When the local church was moved across the fjord, the rock supposedly travelled across the water so the dwarfs would not be separated from it.
