WHY VISIT

About Öskjuhlíð

Öskjuhlíð is a wooded hill rising immediately south of central Reykjavík. Pine and birch woodland covers much of the slopes while trails connect Perlan with Nauthólsvík, Fossvogsdalur and Reykjavík’s wider path network. Remnants of military structures built during the Second World War remain hidden throughout the woods.
